Process
Students will be introduced to the Electoral College. They will
have a brief introduction to what it is and how it works. They will then be
able to choose a side according to their position. They will create a
presentation in which they explain their position and how they chose a
particular side. Within their presentation, students must incorporate
mathematical evidence to support and prove their point. The essential questions
we asked the students are as follows:
1. How do you define the electoral college?
2. How do you determine how many votes a state receives in the electoral college?
3. What is the difference between the popular vote and the electoral college?
4. Which do you think should be considered more important: the electoral college or the popular vote?
